“He made a promise, he will come back.” Said Amma.

“But Amma, you have been sitting on the temple porch for last three days. I think he has left you here, at the mercy of god.” Said Ashok, a social worker.

“He will come back for me. Go and help someone who needs your help.”

In tattered clothes and hopeful eyes, Amma still sits by the temple gate, for her son to come back for her. 

Let’s hope that someday her son would realise the importance of his mother in his life.
